The Infrastructure Specialist Group (ISG) was formed in 2013 after two leaders in the manufacture of infrastructure and mining products merged. Technicrete and Rocla are prominent brands well known in the industry. They were previously owned by Murray & Roberts which sold them as a result of the group focusing their growth aspirations in engineering, mining and construction. The two companies were acquired by a consortium consisting of private equity firm Capitalworks, RMB Ventures, Pan African Group and senior executives within the companies, which led to the formation of the company ISG.

Technicrete was started in 1968 under the leadership of Jurgen Schultz. It was he who sensed a massive market opportunity for the use of precast concrete products in a variety of applications in the construction, building and mining industries. Over the years Technicrete has expanded its range of concrete products and today has the most comprehensive range of concrete products.

Rocla has an extensive network of factories throughout South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. We are also able to design and manufacture special products at customer requests. This is made possible through our technical expertise and quality controls we have in place after 108 years of experience in the Precast Concrete field.
