Quality and Service
The rock-solid founding commitment of Technicrete and Rocla to supply the highest-quality products and service excellence still remains today with CMACS compliance of the underlying products to the relevant SANS codes.
This well-known leader in precast concrete paving products was established in 1968 and since then has become a firm favourite supplier to South Africa’s mining and construction industries. The wide range of styles, shapes and colours of paving is augmented by a substantial range of kerbs and products for erosion protection and retaining walls. The Head Office in Roodepoort supports factories consolidated in the northern half of South Africa.

With over 100 years of experience, South Africa’s leading manufacturer of precast concrete products for infrastructure, produces high-quality pipes, culverts, manholes, poles and bespoke products to meet customers’ unique requirements. With a comprehensive range of both standard and special products available nationwide, ROCLA is well positioned to be a preferred, comprehensive supplier of a wide range of precast concrete products. Rocla holds a Head Office in Roodepoort with a network of strategically positioned factories across South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.
POLES
Rocla, a pioneer in the manufacture of concrete poles in South Africa, supplies pre-cast concrete poles across a wide variety of industries with many advantages compared to steel and wooden poles, thus offering a long-term cost effective solution. Cast poles are manufactured in lengths up to 13m and ratings up to 10kN, or higher if required and spun poles which are manufactured in single lengths up to 24m, jointed lengths up to 36m and ratings up to 106kN, or higher if required.
SANITATION
Rocla Sanitation, a specialised sub-unit within the ISG group of companies and an industry leader, identified Job creation and dignified sanitation technology offerings as the two most critical factors to be addressed in the industry. Rocla sanitation’s Thuthukisa Initiative breaks from tradition whereby local contractors erect product supplied to site from afar by empowering local communities and SMME’s to become manufacturers in their own right whilst benefitting from Rocla’s vast experience and knowledge as their technology partner.
TECHNICRETE MINING SERVICE
Technicrete offers a wide range of quality and cost effective Pre-Bagged Mortars & Grouts for multiple underground requirements and Stope and Gulley Support Packs designed to meet any support or rock condition requirement. These specialist mining services products are manufactured at our Carletonville and Virginia plants and distributed nationwide to the gold and coal mines.
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
With technical design, quality and manufacturing expertise developed and mastered with over 165 years combined construction experience, Rocla and Technicrete have the ability to design and manufacture both standard and custom products for structural and non-structural applications. The in-house technical department consisting of engineers, concrete technologists and draughtsmen along with testing laboratories at each plant ensures that both companies maintain their position as market leaders in their respective fields.
